Chinese President Xi Jinping watched an evening gala on December 19 marking the 15th anniversary of Macao's return to China. President Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan received a standing ovation from the audience when they,accompanied by the Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) and his wife, entered the Macao East Asian Games Dome. The variety show, with the theme of "Dream of Macao, Heart of China," started with a stunning visual one of the classic Macau’ s landmark, A-Ma Temple appeared on the 50 metre stage. Started with the ‘ A-MaTemple’children’ s ballad,dances and songs featuring the convergence of Chinese and Western cultures in Macao,as well as the Chinese people's wishes for a bright future of Macao and the motherland were also performed. The amazing performances combined with the ultimate audio visual and special effects, touched the heart of the audience with Macao’ s harmonious multiple culture. After the performances, President Xi got on the stage in the company of Chui Sai On, shaking hands with the performers and crew complete the superb evening gala.
